Successful KappAhl campaign benefits Bris

KappAhl has donated three kronor for every item of its KAXS brand of children's clothing sold during a special Back to School campaign in August. In this way KappAhl customers have raised nearly SEK 300,000 for BRIS (Children's Rights in Society), which works to support and help children at risk in Sweden. The money will be used to support the charity's ongoing costs as well as to help develop its website, www.bris.se.

“We would like to say a big thank you to KappAhl and the KappAhl customers who consciously bought KAXS clothes for their children, thus helping other children. The money provides very welcome support for the work BRIS does to help children and young adults who are able to phone the Children's Help Line or send an e-mail free of charge and anonymously to get support from an adult,” says Göran Harnesk, general secretary of BRIS.

This is the second year of the Back to School Campaign. It ran for ten days in August 2005. More than 96,000 items of KAXS clothing were sold during the campaign, which raised exactly SEK 288,906 for BRIS.

“BRIS fulfils an extremely important function in society and it feels appropriate for KappAhl to be supporting children who, for one reason or another, are in distress or feel bad,” says KappAhl CEO Christian W. Jansson.
