Record-breaking fundraising again – Over six million SEK donated to children’s rights organisations in 2025
Kappahl Group has supported children and young people through partnerships with children’s rights organisations since 2006. In recent years, the shared engagement together with our customers has continued to grow – and 2025 became yet another record year. In total, Kappahl Group and its customers raised SEK 6.17 million during the 2025 financial year for children’s rights organisations across the company’s sales markets.</stron

The contributions go to local organisations working to strengthen children’s rights and create hope for children and young people in vulnerable situations. In Sweden, the donation goes to Bris.
Growing need for support for children and young people
The need for support among children and young people remains high. Bris sees this particularly during school holidays, such as the Christmas break, when many children reach out for an adult to talk to.
“For children living in vulnerable situations, holidays can be an especially difficult time. When school, leisure activities and other support systems take a break, access to safe adults outside the family decreases. At the same time, children often spend more time at home, which can intensify already challenging circumstances,” says Maria Frisk, Secretary General at Bris.
She continues:
“More and more children are contacting Bris through our helpline and support centres, often with heavy and difficult issues. Yet every contact is a first step toward change – when children reach out, there is hope. That is why it is crucial that companies like Kappahl Group engage in children’s rights. It is fantastic to see their fundraising set a new record again! Together we contribute to a better society for children.”
A commitment that runs through the entire Kappahl Group
For Kappahl Group, collaborating with children’s rights organisations is deeply rooted in the company’s values around inclusion and responsibility. The engagement creates pride among employees and fosters a strong sense of unity and purpose – something that has also made Kappahl Group one of Bris’ largest corporate partners.
“Children’s rights and the right to be yourself are causes that matter deeply to both our customers and our colleagues. Across Kappahl Group, the commitment spans the entire organisation – from buying and marketing to logistics, IT and our dedicated store teams. It is the combination of daily work and genuine engagement that creates real impact. Together with our fantastic customers, we are a force to be reckoned with,” says Anna Andihn, Director HR & Communication at Kappahl Group.
How Kappahl collaborates with children’s rights organisations
Kappahl has long-standing partnerships with organisations in the countries where we operate stores – Sweden, Norway, Finland and Poland – all working to support children and young people in difficult situations. Through these collaborations, the organisations’ important work is highlighted, as well as how the donations are used. Central to the communication is the message that all children and young people are valuable exactly as they are.
Our partners:
- Sweden – Bris
- Norway – Kors på Halsen
- Finland – Mannerheim League for Child Welfare
- Poland – Empowering Children Foundation
Kappahl communicates about its partners and our collaboration throughout the year in different ways. We offer several products sold in support of these organisations, such as reflectors, pyjamas and garment care products. Customers are also invited to round up their purchase as a donation during the year, with extra campaign focus during Christmas, the back‑to‑school period and Valentine’s Day.
Internally, we work actively to build pride and engagement around the important work our store employees and other teams do to support the fundraising.
