At KappAhl we know that sustainability and profitability are two sides of the same coin. We want to give you affordable fashion with quality — produced with respect and care for people and the environment.
We sell millions of sustainable clothes every year
We have worked with sustainability for a long time at KappAhl. We were the first fashion retailer in the world to receive environmental certification. Our first collection of organic clothes was launched all the way back in 1993, and now we sell millions of sustainability-labelled clothes every year.
We strive to be able to offer you even more affordable and sustainable fashion. We have done that since we began in 1953.
Sustainability is part of everything we do and our goals are set very high. We will have as little environmental impact as possible and save the earth's resources. We are constantly improving the conditions of all those affected by our operations in the countries where we purchase our production. You as our customer must also be confident that our clothes live up to our promises. None of our clothes will contain harmful chemicals. And it should be easy for our customers to make a sustainable choice at KappAhl.
Our goal is for everything you buy from us to be produced with care and respect, now and in the future.
57 per cent of our clothing is sustainability-labelled, and we are constantly working to increase that proportion.
There is a lot left to do
The environment is one of our greatest common challenges for the future. We have a big job ahead of us and a long way to go.
The earth's resources are being consumed at a rapid pace, and that is also true in our industry. Clothing manufacture consumes a great deal of energy and water.
We embrace the challenge, among other things, by being active and present in the countries where our clothes are produced. We believe that cooperation with industry colleagues and interest groups is the best way to achieve results.
We are members of the worldwide association Better Cotton Initiative, BCI, which works for sustainable cotton cultivation. We are one of the initiators of the Swedish project SWAR which are working for cleaner textile production in India, Turkey and China. And slowly but surely, we are increasing the proportion of sustainable clothes in our stores.
We are proud of the sustainability work KappAhl contributes, and we are working to do even more.
For more sustainable fashion in our wardrobes.
Welcome to KappAhl.
