Transparency and traceability in focus – today Kappahl Group releases its sustainability report

Kappahl is accelerating its transition and leading the way towards a sustainable fashion world. Significant steps have been taken on the journey towards a transparent and responsible operation, reducing absolute carbon emissions by 15% since 2022. Additionally, Kappahl has had its climate target of a 50.4% reduction in absolute carbon emissions by 2032 validated by Science Based Targets (SBTi).

Kappahl in design collaboration with Sanna Jörnvik Déman

Kappahl is launching a unique design collaboration for the brand kay/day with influencer Sanna Jörnvik Déman – a summery capsule collection that combines fantastic materials with timeless design. Inspired by the relaxed atmosphere of a summery southern Europe, Sanna and the kay/day team have together created a well-thought-out and versatile collection in earthy tones perfect for all summer occasions and beyond. The collection will be launched in stores and online on April 30.

Kappahl announces major investment to develop a new distribution centre in Arendal 

Storage and distribution facilities will be moved close to the Port of Gothenburg in 2026 In order to future-proof its delivery and logistics operations as it continues its growth journey, Kappahl Group will be opening a new distribution centre in the industrial area of Arendal on the outskirts of Gothenburg. The new state-of-the-art facility, located adjacent to the Port of Gothenburg, is expected to be operational in the second half of 2026.

2.6 million SEK to organizations for sustainable development thanks to reduced use of bags

For the seventh consecutive year, Kappahl Group donates the surplus from its bag sales to organizations working for sustainable development. Additionally, Kappahl's customers continue to reduce their use of plastic bags – the One Bag Habit initiative continues to lead to changed behavior and reduced bag usage while generating donations for sustainable development. In 2023, a total of 2.6 million kronor was donated.

Newbie launches wedding collection

Time for a Newbie wedding! Kappahl’s Newbie brand is prepared for the wedding season as it launches a limited collection of clothes and accessories for women and children in a choice of dreamy white shades, romantic laces, rustic cotton and embroidery. This exclusive collection will be available online from the beginning of April.
