KappAhl Responsible Actions supports sustainable development

All money raised by KappAhl Responsible Actions is put back into causes that drive sustainable development, both socially and environmentally. Such funds are generated by bag sales and textile collections, for example.

Responsible fashion considers you as the wearer, but also the entire chain that runs from production to recycling. This is a big challenge that we are tackling head-on, through initiatives in the countries in which we operate. We collaborate with other companies and organisations because we believe that this is the best way to get results.

We group our social and environmental initiatives under the umbrella of KappAhl Responsible Actions. All Responsible Actions funds go back into causes that drive sustainable development. Examples of these could be:

  • Initiatives for women and children in countries in which we operate.

  • Projects to reduce our production chain’s impact on the environment.
  • Developing methods for more sustainable cultivation, for example cotton growing.

  • Developing better methods for recycling old textiles.

Together with our customers

As our customer, you are crucial to Responsible Actions. You contribute to this fund when donating old textiles to us for recycling, or even when buying a bag. Why? Because:

  • all profits from our textile collections go towards Responsible Actions; and

  • all profits from our bag sales through the One Bag Habit go towards Responsible Actions.

How KappAhl Responsible Actions raises money, and how such funds will be used, will be reported in our Annual report from 2017 onwards.
