Spring 2012 at KappAhl Children
2011-11-23
KappAhl’s Kids collection for spring 2012

Block patterns set the style this spring! Either as a design on garments or by teaming a pair of bright trousers with a top in a contrasting strong colour. Strong shades can also be found in the accessories, including sunglasses and shoes.
“Trousers are the key item this spring,” says KappAhl’s Design Manager Carina Johansson. “It’s very contemporary, and denim is a sustainable material that never goes out of style. Twill is also big on the trouser front, and later in the season shorts can be added to the wardrobe, in the same delightful shades.”
In February, the Kids department at KappAhl will re-launch its LAB denim range. LAB was launched as a denim brand in 2005 and will now be available in all Kids department sizes, 56-170 cm.
“We place great emphasis on ensuring the right washes, quality and details. A large proportion of the trousers we sell are denim and we believe that this will be appreciated even by our youngest shoppers,” says Carina. “The collection also includes jackets and denim shirts.”
Spring is a time for outdoor activities and once again this season we will be delivering good quality that will stand up to plenty of rough and tumble. Seasonal sport fashion is colourful and has inspired KappAhl’s Kids functional collections – Kaxs Proxtec and Woxo 720°. In autumn, our Kaxs Proxtec overalls attracted attention in the media with a favourable review in magazine Vi Föräldrar’s overalls test. The spring version offers the same good quality, waterproofing of 10,000 mm, and the garment is hard-wearing with good breathability. As a complement to this, we have jersey items featuring graphic-inspired patterns and soft fleece jumpers. Pink, green, blue and orange are the colours that count!
Sky blue, cerise and yellow characterize our spring streetstyle-inspired collection Woxo 720° in sizes 128-170 cm. These colours are mixed with black, and the collection also includes graphic patterned overalls for cool youngsters. The quality and function are as hard-wearing as last autumn, with 3,000 mm waterproofing and breathability. The garment details are well thought-out and show consideration for the wearer.
Newbie is a collection for newborns and is available in sizes 44-68.
“With consideration for the youngest family members and a sustainable future we have chosen 100% organic cotton for this collection,” continues Carina. “We will be delivering soft and cuddly clothing again for spring. The colourway is neutral as before and this season’s new features are fashionable pastels in pale pink, off white and various shades of blue. The new designs include a variety of stripes, from bodies in wide stripes to bottoms in narrow stripes. Our popular soft knitted overalls, so successful in previous seasons, will be available as a plain version this spring.”
