KAPPAHL Autumn 2011 WOMEN
2011-05-19
Autumn serves up a feast of colour!

The 70s have long been knocking on the door of fashion, and now they have burst out in full flower in the autumn collections for KappAhl Woman. Feminine materials such as chiffon and jersey join with heavier fabrics such as fur and knitwear, to give a modern feeling.
"This autumn, it is all about updating and renewing classic garments and our designers have taken note of the dressed fashion that feels right just now. Key items are different versions of the poncho and the wide leg trousers that are to be found in all of autumn's themes," says Anna Bredberg, Design and Purchasing Manager for KappAhl Woman.
Autumn starts with strong colours such as blue, red and yellow in loose cut garments. Denim is matched with gorgeous patterned tops in chiffon or lace. The theme also includes maxi-dresses and skirts in billowy material that are feminine and easy to wear, both everyday and to parties. For the right look, these are combined with accessories in cognac-coloured leather and a jacket in imitation fur.
"The season's range even includes a minimalistic style where colours such as black, grey and beige are important. Block patterns and broad striped tops in red, camel and blue are combined with tweed trousers for a dressed metropolitan feeling. The collection also includes several new models of trousers, including suit trousers with creases and trousers with a leather feel for a minimalist impression. Silver jewellery tops off the theme," continues Anna Bredberg.
Later in the season, the colours are camel, red and grey. To keep warm during chilly autumnal days, we wrap up in a knitted poncho decorated with a jacquard pattern or in minimalistic monochrome. This is combined with those wide trousers, a slouch hat and jewellery with turquoises for a womanly, glamorous look.
The natural world has been an inspiration; imitation suede and fur are important materials when the autumn chill creeps in. Among other things, this can be seen in the details on a pair of jodhpur-inspired treggings and accessories such as collars and a waistcoat. To complete the genuine rural style, the theme is matched with a stall jacket and an oversized cardigan with patched elbows.
