Johanna Kjellberg is CIO of the Year!

KappAhl's IT director, Johanna Kjellberg, has won the prestigious title of CIO of the year.
 - This confirms our success in creating a business-related IT structure. I am pleased and proud to win this award for my organization, in competition with other talented IT managers, "says Johanna Kjellberg.
It is the Swedish magazine CIO who early this summer announced the nominations for this year’s CIO. At a gala earlier this week Johanna Kjellberg was finally the winner.
- We have focused on creating a well composed, business-related IT support in KappAhl's continued expansion, "says Johanna Kjellberg. An important part of this has been to create awareness of the part IT plays in KappAhl’s different processes.

Johanna Kjellberg won the award in competition with Joss Delissen, Posten, Gunnar Fransson, ÅF, Joakim Pettersson-Winter, Red Cross, and Åke Södermark, Telia Sonera. The jury said: "When the economic recession drove businesses to dismiss people, this year's CIO chooses to employ. When others emphasize success, the CIO of the year wants to strike a blow for what they learn from their mistakes. The unconventional approach has paid off - in the form of lower costs, increased quality and extremely happy employees! With equal parts strategy and empathy, commitment, enthusiasm and humour, she has built a business-related IT department which plays a key role for the company's expansion. Under the slogan 'Learn IT Love IT', she aims for the whole business to realize the value of IT. "

The jury consisted of: Birgitta Klasén, professional board member, former CIO Pharmacia, EADS, Stephan Carlquist, CEO, Xynteo. Magnus Mähring, Stockholm School of Economics, Johan Magnusson, Gothenburg School of Economics, Lars StigBerg, creator of the PENG-model for IT governance, Victoria Olausson, Sense Makers, Jan Martin Löwendahl, Gartner, Jens Wergeni, Accenture and Alexandra Heymowska, editor in chief, CIO Sweden.
