2010-11-24

KappAhl’s spring fashion 2011

Clean minimalism permeates the women’s collection at KappAhl this spring!

CLEAN

Relaxed comfort where clean shapes and cuts are mixed with a classic colour scale in deep shades of grey, khaki green, white and black.

-“Among the pieces we find pants in cotton and chinos, oversized shirts, the classic white shirt, tops with prints and a jersey pant”, says Carina Ladow, Design & Purchasing Manager, KappAhl Woman. The main materials are cotton, chiffon and viscose.

POETRY/ORIENTAL

A romantic line where delicate flower and paisley prints meets lace, chiffon and washed cotton. Cargo pants, denim and shirts are layered and elaborated with flower prints in different sizes and contrasted with jewellery and accessories in mixed metallic.

NUMBER ONE

The stripes have joined the classic check and are dominating this theme where shirts, tops and short dresses are offered. Stylishly wrinkled cotton shirts gives a feeling of a just washed fabric and are styled with light denim for a relaxed, preppy look. The colour scales includes shades of navy, aqua, pink and yellow, giving a sense of freshness and bring spring feelings!

NEW CLASSIC

The theme where the ancle length pant makes a comeback! -“This theme has a semi dressed and relaxed but yet classic feeling”, explains Carina Ladow. The main colours are blue, beige, and black and the pieces have a classic cut for a stylistically pure expression. Some of the blouses have diffuse prints of butterflies, flowers and dots.

NATURE

Pieces in beige, white and tobacco with tone to tone embroideries are characterizing the theme that Kappahl’s designers have given the name Nature.

-“The shapes are more important than the actual items and the loose fit and draping gives the right style together with wooden and leather accessories and jewellery”, says Carina Ladow.

IT’S ALL ABOUT LINEN

KappAhl’s designers are adding a new pant silhouette to KappAhl’s collections! A wider leg pant and the balloon shaped pant are key pieces and are complemented with long, sweeping dresses, skirt and tops. Important colours are blue, white, potato and beige.

FLOWERS

A colourful explosion in red, turquoise, green and light blue with flowerprint as foundation.

-“The loose fit is present also in this theme, on tunics, jeans jackets and tops which are styled with a light denim pant with a boot cut”, tells Carina Ladow.
