SWEDISH FASHION CHAIN KAPPAHL OPENS IN PRAGUE

Swedish fashion chain KappAhl opened its first store in Prague today, offering original fashion for the whole family. Located in the brand new Galerie Harfa shopping complex in Prague 9, the 800 square metre store offers clothing for men, women, children and babies, as well as shoes and accessories. KappAhl was introduced to the public by popular TV moderator Gabriela Partyšová. At the opening event, a fashion show of their spring collection was held, featuring former Miss Czech Katerina Prusova.

“We are so pleased to be in Prague and believe our stylish designs at affordable prices will appeal to everyone,” said Linda Hamberg, Vice President Sales. “This is our third store in the Czech Republic, after Brno and Liberec and we are looking to expand in the country more, as well as throughout the CEE region.”

In KappAhl now, customers can indulge in their beautiful autumn and winter collection, offering clean cuts for women; updated classics for men and warmth and bright colours for children. KappAhl has its own in-house designers who create new collections continuously, keeping their customers well-dressed no matter the season. Popular collections for children include the Trend collection for girls; the Proxtec and Woxo outerwear collections and the Newbie collection, offering eco-cotton garments for babies. KappAhl’s well-coordinated fashions means customers can mix and match for their own unique look, and add choice pieces to update their wardrobe.

In spring, women can look forward to classic colours and clean lines complemented by a more romantic line that features floral patterns, lace and chiffon. A relaxed weekend look can be achieved through patterns – stripes and checks appear offering a feeling of spring freshness. KappAhl’s designers have also introduced a new pant silhouette that features a wider leg and balloon shape. Colours are a mix of casual neutral and an explosion of brightness, with shoppers having their choice between classic beige, navy and white or hues of pink, turquoise and green.

Also this spring, patterned shirts are hot for men, with well-dressed guys sporting colourful stripes and checks. Spring for children is a mix of intense colours and neutral bases. Teen girls are treated to romantic floral patterns, boys go preppy and there’s a third comfortable line for active types.
KappAhl’s newly introduced Hampton Republic 27 line for men has proven popular amongst fashion conscious males, thanks to its thoughtful, well-made items, offering a classic, masculine look. The Hampton style is infused with an unspoken dress code: “Always look great, no matter the occasion.”

“I’m very excited about our spring line – we believe it is one of our best; offering great pieces for nearly every occasion,” said Monika Kostovska, Fashion Press Manager. “KappAhl offers a range of inspiring and good value fashion for the whole family.”

With the store in Galerie Harfa, KappAhl has three stores in the Czech Republic and a total of 360 in the Group. “The Czech Republic is a growing market for KappAhl’s fashion.
