KappAhl is Sweden’s best place of work - again
For the second year in row KappAhl is among the five winners when Veckans Affärer, one of the largest financial magazines in Sweden, appoints Sweden’s best places of work.
– Our co-workers are important and that is why it is gratifying that these matters are noticed, says Kajsa Räftegård, KappAhl’s Vice President of Human Resources and Public Relations. – To be compared with other able companies gives us positive energy and encouragement to continued progress.
This is the second year in row that Veckans Affärer lists Sweden’s best places of work in accordance with about fifty parameters. This year 150 other companies have been examined, where KappAhl, as the only fashion company, lands among the five winners presented without internal order.
– Through our annual, internal attitude surveys we know we have a high level of well-being at work for our 4 800 co-workers. The award confirms that what we do hold up well in comparison with the surrounding world as well, Kajsa Räftegård continues. – As a fashion company it feels natural to be at the forefront also as an employer, with modern solutions and ways of working that meet our co-workers’ expectations.
This is the second time Veckans Affärer appoints Sweden’s best places of work. KappAhl was presented together with the other four winners in the category Large companies – Saab, Ving, Preera and Johnson & Johnson – at a ceremony during Veckans Affärer’s Big Carrier Day in Stockholm yesterday.
The survey which is ground for the appointments is based on questions within four areas:
- The relationship between the number of men and women in the company.
- The relationship between men’s and women’s salaries or other remuneration.
- The company culture – is their an expressed policy against certain issues that exclude women?
- Balance in life – questions concerning the difference between men’s and women’s right to time off or part-time work.
