Autumn Fashion 2010 Baby & MiniKids
2010-05-19
Well-dressed 40s and happy colours at the
children’s department
The British countryside and the charmingly well-dressed 40s are the inspiration for the KappAhl small children- and baby department this autumn.
– The collection feels romantic on both small girls and boys, says Sofia Wallin, Collection Manager Baby & Minikids.
Shirts, finely knitted cardigans and henley shirts are combined with denim for a classic look with a small twist on the boy’s side. The garments may well be styled with suspenders and the classic check flat cap. The colour scheme consists of dull shades of brown, grey, khaki green and beige for small boys and dull pastels in pink and purple for small girls. Blouses, a reversible fur vest and leggings with riding pant details are some of the garments for the girls.
Apart from the 40s KappAhl designers continues to be inspired by the 80s.
- Sweaters with protruding graphic prints like Minnie Mouse, and mc-details on leggings give the right 80’s feeling, says Sofia Wallin.
KAXS continues with its playful and colourful garments with graphic patterns and shapes. New this season is the lovely autumn colours such as petrol, turquoise and purple. These colours can be seen on long sleeved tops, hoodies and sweatpants made by the softest cotton.
