KappAhl takes legal action against WeSC

January 22nd, 2010 KappAhl left a plaint to the Stockholm district court with a request that the protection of the trademark “We” should be revoked.

Since three years back, KappAhl have been using the terms “WeKids by KappAhl” and WeTweens by KappAhl” in their children and youths assortment.

WeSC, a Swedish clothes chain has objected to this use and argue that these concepts are infringing their trademark “We”.
KappAhl is of the opinion that WeSC for some time haven’t used the mark “We” to the extent so that protection still exists.

Thus KappAhl has rejected WeSC opposition and at Stockholm District Court January 22, 2010 KappAhl left a request that the protection of the trademark “We” should be revoked.
